Texas Energy Resources


The University Archives, as part of the Southwest Collection/Special Collections Library, has been participating in the Train To Share Program, a federally grant funded project to educate, train and disseminate knowledge on making digitized materials accessible through standardized metadata records. What this means to the researcher is that you will have online access to even more resources than before on the history of Texas.

Ten theme-based teams made up of libraries, archives, historical societies, and museums have partnered together under the guidance of the Texas State Library and Archives Commissions. The themes range from the writing of O. Henry to Military History to the Houston Waterways Project.

Texas Energy Resources is the theme of the TTU University Archives's team and our partners are the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum and the Confederate Reunion Grounds State Historic Site, which is part of the Texas Historical Commission. Photographs, oral histories, blueprints, and manuscript collections have been digitized for researchers to view. To access these materials, please go to
